Patient: 29 yo male presented, unhappy with the shape of his breasts. He related that since his early teens he has been fairly thin, but is always had extra breast tissue.
Surgery Performed: Dr. Lewis suggested using both Vaser assisted liposuction as well as direct surgical excision of the underlying gynecomastia tissue. This was performed using small incisions on the lower border of his nipple areolar complex. To prevent concavity at the location of the nipple, Dr. Lewis advanced a small local fat flap after the removal of the male breast tissue.
Surgery Outcome: This helped achieved a dramatic improvement in the shape of his chest.
Patient: 43 -year-old female, presented to Dr. Lewis hoping to improve the contour of her abdominal wall. She had had 2 children in the past, was unhappy with the shape of her abdomen and wanted surgical improvement.
Surgery Performed: Dr. Lewis performed a high lateral tension abdominoplasty.
Surgery Outcome: This gave her great improvement to the shape of her abdomen.
Patient: 57-year-old female presented to Lewis Plastic Surgery for evaluation for a tummy tuck after a gastric bypass approximately 5 years prior. She lost weight from 300 pounds down to 200 and was unhappy with the appearance of her abdomen.
Surgery Performed: Dr. Lewis performed a high lateral tension abdominoplasty greatly improving the shape of her abdomen.
Surgery Outcome: As this patient had had a massive weight loss, and was having symptoms from her overlying pannus including rashes, her insurance company did cover the portion of the abdominoplasty associated with a panniculectomy.
Patient: - 45-year-old female, presented to Dr. Lewis, unhappy with the shape of her abdomen. She did not like prominence of her mid abdomen and the overhanging skin on her lower abdomen. She also needed a benign tumor to be removed from her uterus and wanted this to be done at the same time.
Surgery Performed: Dr. Lewis felt her best option would be to have an abdominoplasty, combined with liposuction of both flanks. He started the operation by performing tumescent liposuction. 600 mL of aspirate was removed from each side. Subsequently, Dr. Lewis performed the abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). This was performed after another surgeon removed her benign uterine tumor.
Surgery Outcome: She is very happy with the results of the operation.
Patient: 33 year old female, had four children prior to coming to Dr. Lewis. She was unhappy with the stretch marks on her abdomen, the lax skin on her abdomen, and the overall shape of her lower abdomen.
Surgery Performed: Dr. Lewis recommeded a high lateral tension abdominoplasty.
Surgery Outcome: She was very happy with the results of the operation. The "after "photos were taken 6 weeks after the operation, and the incisions will improve with time.
