JUVEDERM is a clear gel that is very smooth and natural-looking. Besides replacing lost volume in the face for a more youthful look, it can be used on the lips to make them fuller. JUVEDERM is safe for use on all skin tones.

For JUVEDERM injections to look natural and not overdone, you need a skilled injector who understands the anatomy and how JUVEDERM works in the skin. Dr. Lewis takes the time he needs to evaluate your face and determine the best areas for JUVEDERM and the amount of the product required to produce the results you want.

JUVEDERM injections usually last for 6-8 months, but they have been known to last as long as a year for some patients.

Areas improved by JUVEDERM injections:

  • Nasolabial folds – the wrinkles that start at the nose and continue down to the mouth
  • Marionette lines – the wrinkles that start at the mouth and continue down the chin
  • Thin lips that you wish to make fuller and poutier

Procedure

Individualized Approach

Dr. Lewis customizes every JUVEDERM treatment. There is no “one size fits all” approach at Lewis Plastic Surgery. Dermal fillers are both an art and a science, so Dr. Lewis evaluates your face much like a sculptor so that you look naturally younger. No one should know you have had facial fillers. They should just notice that you look great.

Complementary Procedures

JUVEDERM greatly improves lines and wrinkles. In some cases, JUVEDERM Voluma may be preferable, or Botox may be necessary for wrinkles caused by muscle contractions.

Dr. Lewis might also recommend these non-surgical procedures:

  • Facial fat grafting (using your own fat to restore lost volume around the eyes and to the cheeks)
  • Medical Spa treatments to rejuvenate the skin and smooth fine lines not targeted by Botox

JUVEDERM injections are also often recommended after these facial surgery procedures to smooth remaining wrinkles:

  • Brow lift to decrease lines in the brow and to lift the brow to a more youthful position
  • Facelift to tighten the lower portion of the face
  • Eyelid lift to improve hooding of the upper eyelid and/or bags under the eyes
