We’ve certainly seen evidence of this change in our Richmond Plastic Surgery office, particularly for Gynecomastia.  This is a disorder characterized by excess glandular tissue in one or both breasts. It can be caused by a number of factors, including certain medications and hormonal imbalance.  The increase in breast tissue can result in a more feminine appearance, which so often leads to emotional distress, effecting confidence and self esteem.

Thankfully as the statistics show, more and more men are seeking surgical help, with male breast reduction surgery achieving excellent results.

At Lewis Plastic Surgery in Richmond, Virginia, we provide an indepth consultation prior to any surgical procedure.  Particularly in the case of male breast reconstruction, no two procedures are exactly the same, so we ensure that our approach is tailor made for each patient depending the severity level of gynecomastia.

Booking a consultation is free of charge, completely confidential and demands no obligation.  It offers patients the chance to gain a deeper understanding of the surgical procedures available, takes a look at the procedures that are best suited to the patient and discusses what the realistic outcome will be.
