JUVEDERM VOLUMA is a dermal filler that is similar to JUVEDERM but injected into a deeper layer of skin in order to add volume to flattened cheeks, restoring a more youthful contour to the mid-face. Like JUVEDERM, VOLUMA is made up of hyaluronic acid and does not require allergy testing.
JUVEDERM VOLUMA is a clear gel that is very smooth and natural-looking when injected by a skilled physician. To achieve that natural look, the doctor must have the ability to evaluate your facial structure and determine where the injections will be most advantageous. The dosage is also important. Dr. Lewis uses knowledge, skill, and artistry when administering JUVEDERM VOLUMA so that the result is a younger appearance that is undetectable as a cosmetic procedure.
JUVEDERM VOLUMA injections can last up to 2 years, so they are recommended for patients who are comfortable with dermal fillers.
Areas improved by JUVEDERM VOLUMA injections:
- Wrinkles in the cheeks
- Cheeks that have become flat or sunken
Dr. Lewis tailors every JUVEDERM VOLUMA treatment for each patient. He takes the injection of facial fillers as seriously as cosmetic surgery and uses his knowledge of the products to administer them with natural results
Will anesthesia and pain relief be used during / after JUVEDERM VOLUMA treatments?
JUVEDERM VOLUMA injections include Lidocaine to numb the skin. A topical numbing cream can also be applied to increase your comfort.
What happens immediately after JUVEDERM VOLUMA treatments?
Dr. Lewis might massage the injection sites slightly to distribute the formula, but you can go home right after your treatment.
How long will complete recovery from JUVEDERM VOLUMA injections take?
There is no recovery period necessary after JUVEDERM VOLUMA injections. Most patients do experience some tenderness, swelling, and bruising, however, but these symptoms usually go away within a few days.
Am I a good candidate for JUVEDERM VOLUMA?
If you are over the age of 18 and feel that your cheeks are too flat, JUVEDERM VOLUMA might be a good option for you. Dr. Lewis must take a full medical history to determine your candidacy for the injections. If you are taking blood thinners, or if you are pregnant, you should not get JUVEDERM VOLUMA injections.
What are the risks of JUVEDERM VOLUMA?
With any procedure, there are risks that you must be aware of. To minimize the risks, ensure that your procedure is conducted in a safe and secure environment using the latest techniques by checking the certifications and accreditation of your surgeon. Accreditation boards and bodies are there to protect you.
